Spencer and his team were great to work with. They were flexible and patient as we changed the scope of what we initially wanted done. They had helpful ideas but didn't try to sell us on anything. We had their team repair a fence, take down some play structures, re-level our backyard, build a pergola, and re-do the soft-scape (including adding a new gardening space). As we added on tasks, Spencer kept us posted on costs and was very good about assessing where and how we could save costs on certain items. They helped problem solve through some unexpected issues with our fence as well. Spencer's team was friendly, hard-working and did a good job of keeping the work site clean at the end of each day. Our yard looks much more spacious and bright and we look forward to enjoying family time in our new outdoor space.

Symbiotic Landscapes worked with us to to solve the best way to make use of our very small back yard. Spencer was helpful and patient with us, and his expertise and guidance was invaluable. His journeyman Max was very experienced and skilled, and built us a fantastic patio space. Throughout the process Symbiotic Landscapes went out of their way to "go the extra mile" on our project.

We had the pleasure of working with Spencer and his team at Symbiotic Landscapes for our yard overhaul this past fall. They were absolutely incredible to work with! They were professional, knowledgeable, caring and passionate about their work. I honestly can't say enough about them. The project required clearing and levelling our lot, bring in soil, laying down turf and forming beds for future planting. This fall, I used the services of Symbiotic Landscapes to perform a full day's work of fall clean up on my property. Spencer, the owner of the business, came by to assess the work to be done, and he provided me with a quote for the job. He took the time to do a thorough walk through with me so that we were both clear on the scope of the work. Communication is excellent - Spencer notified me with ETA and any relevant updates to the timeline or job -- he even took the time to double check with me certain details of the work, like pruning instructions for certain plants. The team did a thorough job from start to finish, on time and on budget. They also ensured that all work-related debris was removed. Spencer and his team conduct themselves professionally and are respectful of my property and person. I feel that Spencer is striving to create a balance of the personal and the professional in a business. I hired Spence and his team Nov 2019 to completely renovated my back yard. Being completely illiterate in landscaping, I was nervous talking to him at the beginning because I don't know any trees or materials that he was talking about. But he was super patient. When I looked puzzled, he found pictures for my reference and explained to me the pros and cons of the options of materials, plants or stones. During the whole renovation, he was very open-minded and willing to listen, which is not easy. Spence not only helped design the landscaping plan, but also did all the shopping, installation, cleaning up the debris and all the detailed work. Spence and his team were very professional, dedicated, hard-working and consistently thoughtful doing their job from start to end. They did more than what's written int he contract, beyond the scope of the work. They did everything on time and on budget. My neighbors immediately started asking me for his number when they saw my new yard. I am really happy with their work and look forward to using their services in future years.
