The food was nice, I mean it’s fish and chips so you can’t really go wrong. As a Brit I’m allowed to say that. My issue with the place? It’s fireworks night, the streets are packed and the wait time for two plan cod and chips is 15 minutes... Now I understand the quality different between a British chippy and a bistro Fish and Chip bar but on such a busy night they should not have had one server and one cook.

**Edit July 10, 2018** This location is no longer open :( This place used to sell great fish and chips but sadly the building is not up to code and they had to close that part. They still sell sea food which is nice. Love the big meaty Pacific scallops.

The fish products are good quality and to my knowledge this is the only fish store in the West End. However the Denman location is inadequately staffed, slow, and when you do get helped, the service is often less than enthusiastic and you’re lucky if you get a smile. The store also smells of oil extremely strongly, to the point that I wash my clothes or leave my jacket outside on the balcony after every time I visit the store. Would have a much better experience if the staff seemed to be happy to sell me their products and if they invested in a new ventilation system.

Just had fish and chips delivered. The BEST we have ever had Despite not getting the Clam Chowder or the Soda we ordered, and the delivery service they used took too long, the Fish and Chips were awesome! I would have rated 6 or 7 if it weren't for the couple of screw ups.

I live in Kits but make a special trip to the West End to pick up the best fish and chips in town. Plus the staff is very friendly and accommodating.

just had their fish and chips...a new item to their menu.....sooooo good...very lightly battered....thick piece of fish....nice tasting cole slaw compared to the slaw served in most fish and chip eateries...looks and tastes like chips made from freshly cut potatoes vs the frozen variety... what a treat...reasonably priced...this in addition to the many fresh seafood options to take home makes it a place.to shop at regularly

The best fish tacos ever & amazing oysters. Lovely helpful staff who gave us a bonus oyster. A simple, perfect, memorable lunch.

Fish that was said the day before to be available, was not. The server knew nothing, not even knowing the fish we had wanted, not even knowing how to wrap fish. The music was at ear-splitting levels, and rendered normal conversation impossible. In the "bistro" area, dirty plates had not been cleared away. Not remotely at the level that the Davie St store has been at.
