This was built by the ruler Abdulla Khan of Vellore in A.D.1676,He was ruling Vellore and was defeated by the Maratha King Thukkaji.He had rid from the vellore fort and he established a new town here naming it as Abdullapuram,(Till today called in the same name, attached the name board image)and constructed a palace,called as Abdulla Khan Mahal
