Nice place with lots of architecture. Very busy. Lots of pigeons which makes very pleasant memories. You can either walk to this place having beautiful view of Venice or can take boat to reach. I preferred walking , you don’t wanna miss Venice streets and shops.

The highlight of our Venice tour was Saint Mark’s Square. Close proximity to the Grand Canal and the tourist attractions make this more lucrative and busy 24/7. Many authentic Italian restaurants are around and the Gondolas are just round the corner. The canals were very smelly when we visited but I believe the scenario has changed after global pandemic. Even though lots of restaurants around, I found foods are not popular to the tourists because of very local taste.
Felt rushed, I understand because they were so busy, but couldn't enjoy the full effect of Italo-Byzantine architectural. Make sure if visiting not to bring a backup, there are signs up, also near the Basilica there are places that rent out lockers.
One of the best place in Venice, great tourist place.. Without visiting Saint Mark's Basilica touring in venice is incomplete.
