If you are in Venice than this is the place to be! For the St Marks Church get there early, the line is crazy long. My mistake was going to Venice during a busy tourist time. If you just want to hangout at the Square, go there at night, there's music, dancing, people having a good time.

What to say about this iconic place that is part of western culture! Stunning with St Marks church, the tower, various restaurants with the Florino being the most famous and oldest! The amazing architecture is filled with arches, statues and high end private shops. A must see. The bronze horses stolen from Constantinople stand proudly on the church facade.
The main attraction of Venice. The visit is never complete till you spend couple of hours in this historic square
Piazza San Marco is the city’s main public square and contains its most famous buildings such as St Mark’s Basilica and the Doge's Palace. Napoleon called it “the world’s most beautiful drawing room”.
Stunning stunning stunning! Amazing views of all of Venice's best features such as the cathedral, tower, palace, museum and more! Shops around here are EXTREMELY expensive (like 15 per soft drink!) So avoid having something around here directly. Tickets for entrance are quite expensive too but definitely worth the visit!
