A small old-fashioned and absolutely not updated museum for an archeological site of international importance. How bad. Only one cave is open to visitors but no guides. The rest is under ongoing work, both the caves and the new museum. Moreover almost all the original human remains are in other museums, mostly Paris and Monaco. So why pay a visit to a place that gives you this sense of deep sadness? I suggest waiting a few years.. maybe they will discover how to highlight the great site they are sleeping on.

Unfortunately you can access only one grotto and only with guide. All explanations in Italian. In two buildings small collection of artifacts. Only worth to visit when you can speak Italian or big fun of archeology.

Assolutamente da visitare, soprattutto con i propri figli per una adeguata formazione sia culturale che Umana nel senso più ampio e nobile del termine. Le indicazioni per arrivarci dovrebbero essere sia maggiori in numero sia più precise, perchè anche con il GPS è difficile trovare questo museo, ma siamo stati fortunati. Luogo molto suggestivo anche per l'ambientazione delle Caverne preistoriche quasi a picco sul magnifico blu del Mar Ligure. Vicino fra l'altro cè una stupenda spiaggetta con un mare cristallino dove ci si può fermare dopo la suggestiva visita ai reperti, consistenti soprattuto in ritrovamenti di antiche tombe preistoriche con i resti umani del tipo di Uomo di Cro Magnon e i loro corredi funerari.
