Cute little museum hidden inside the back of what looks like a zany gift shop when you first walk in. Spent around half hour here being teleported into the past looking at artefacts from days of the past and reading stories from people who lived years and years ago. Its also free, but we'd have felt awful without leaving a donation in the box outside. Fascinating stuff.

Fascinating. We really like this sort of place - not a whizzy, interactive museum curated in modern style, but fascinating stories and photos of real families, people and events told in a very personal way. Send the kids off for an ice-cream, and just soak it up. Photos, models, and memorabilia of life on this coast over the last 150 years.
If you enjoy looking at history from photos, and you have about 45 minutes spare along this lovely seafront, then pop in to this small town photo museum, a very interesting display and at a small entrance of 1.50, great value for money!
