Review a bit late as was last year! Stayed here with a huge group of friends, and we booked the Dene too. Great location, both properties were fantastic. Plenty of room for nearly 50 of us plus vehicles. Ideal spot for travelling round the island and close to the sea. Rooms and facilities very clean and tidy. Plenty of spare linen if required. Hosts called in when we arrived and advised were on call if needed. Kids in group loved the pool! The neighbours were very friendly too. Couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. Shame we couldn't return this year.

Stayed with friends and had a wonderful time. Beautiful views from our bedroom in a lovely property with lots of space for extended families or a group of friends. Hot tub was a delight on a cloudy day, full size table tennis table in the games room, tv and comfy seating in the lounge. Lovely long table to enjoy a meal with all the guests in the dining room or a smaller table off the kitchen for family breakfast. Great base to use to explore the island but also good walks close by. So close to the sea too. Loved my stay and the happy memories made there. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend and can't wait to go back.
We can thoroughly recommend St Lawrence Manor. Ideal accommodation for a large family gathering/ party. Everything you need and very comfortable. The house is in a pretty and quiet location yet not far from pubs restaurants and shops. We will be returning
Imagine walking the five minutes to the coast and looking back at the tree clad hillside dotted with glorious Victorian manor houses and then realising that you live in one! Ok it was just a long weekend and we shared with friends but it's a very romantic and privileged feeling. Our bedroom had its own sitting room looking out to sea as well. My, what a place to take over. Brilliant!
paid for a weekend away that I was unable to attend due to COVID 19 restrictions. The MANAGER is seemingly unable tp repay monies as he is contracted to pay on to the owner. But is unwillying to identify OWNER. Be very cautious in any dealings as you may find yourselves seriously out of pocket. Although I do note in times with no issues guests seem satisfied. I am very sad this ended badly for me and and my family.
The property was excellent -- even bigger inside than it looked from the pictures!! It really was so fun having an 11 bedroom manor house to ourselves for the weekend. We were a bit unlucky with the weather -- rain and freezing cold etc. so I'm so glad I convinced the others to book somewhere nice! We spent most of our time either in the hot tub or getting hot and over-competitive in the games room over table tennis! I love that games room... I wish we had room for a table tennis table and a bar in my flat!! One thing I would say is that the photos don't do the place justice... they're nice, don't get me wrong -- we were all very excited beforehand based on what we'd seen but we were all even more impressed when we actually got inside the house! Maybe use a wide angle lens to take some new photos for advertising? Anyway, that's a minor point. St. Lawrence is such a peaceful area. I'm used to chaos all around me where I'm from and it was good for the soul to get away from that for the weekend. I'd absolutely recommend this property to friends and relatives alike. Thanks again
What a fantastic find!! We felt like royalty in this huge manor! The house is fantastic with loads of things to do both inside and out; there's a massive games room as well as a huge TV room; plus a massive hot tub and gorgeous sea views!! We were able to walk everywhere and its such a beautiful location - apparently st.lawrence has a micro climate which means its sub tropical; we felt like we were in the south of France on holiday! there's a cove 5 minutes away for swimming which the kids loved due to it being "just like a real smugglers bay" and the coastal path takes you through to many different places - Steephill cove has fresh crab pasties served from a beach hut and you can swim, sun bathe and hire kayaks there. The views are magnificent; just miles and miles of ocean. You can even carry on walking into Ventnor where there is a big promenade with lots going on, fresh fish and chips from the fisherman's boat house and shops to explore. I'd love to return when the Ventnor fringe festival is on as we heard lots of exciting things happen over that weekend; we caught the carnival and that was great! My daughter has told all of her friends about the house and they are now on a mission to return next year for one of the Islands festivals. It would provide a wonderful base to escape the muddy fields from and the non festival goers amongst us could hear all about it from the luxury of our Manor! We hope to return next year. Highly recommended.
