The Old Smithy has a very friendly cafe. My friends a I visit often. Snacks, meals, or just a coffee. The shop is beautiful and at christmas its full of gifts for all ages. Situated in the lovely village of Godshill. Parking is free in a large car.

A very well stocked shop and cafe, mainly for tourists but out of season a good place to stop and ponder.

Very slow service, even though plenty of staff. Cream tea nearly 6 each and scones were overcooked, very dry and could only eat the insides. They need to up their game if they are going to survive at this time. Was supposed to be a birthday treat but extremely disappointed. When mentioned to staff the reply was \they are fresh today\. Covid signage hidden behind open door so nobody knew the advice given, hence no social distancing or people leaving details for track and trace

Despite it being busy and Covid 19 restrictions were in place, our orders were taken quickly and the food was brought out after an acceptable wait. All the food was piping hot and very good quality. Would certainly recommend.
