The people in Veon have been championing and planting Forestry in Ireland for the last 25 years. I invested in a few shares in Irish Forestry via IFS (now Veon) as it was Tax Free, Insured, Environmental and looked like a good long term investment. It was. In a period where people lost their shirts on property, entrepreneurship, endowments, shares in \stable\ institutions and other investments and when banks are virtually charging for savings, they managed a good return. My return from shares spread over a number of funds was less than possible but it was still excellent to anybody who is reasonable at nearly 250% over the 22-25 year my money was managed. I checked in regularly with Paul and Trevor and their team, to check on the progress of my investment and I admired their very hard work managing the needs of over 25000 shareholders while aligning with the demands of the highest levels of regulation by our statutory bodies due to the rigorous legislation fund management involves. They did a great job. Thanks guys.

Great job done by Veon constructing my new forest road. Organized all the paperwork and forms to get the grant, and it looks like it will last well into the next century.

I looked any a lot of different investments around 2005 and very few of them would accept small investments of 2k. Those that did were typically An Post saving certificates and the like, which didn’t achieve any real return for the investors. On the other hand the investment I made in the forestry funds did, and I made a solid profit which was tax free.
By far the most professional forest management company in Ireland. I would wholeheartedly recommend Veon.
