both me and my friend were asked to take a basket so they could cound clients even though we came for 1 thing. Management should take a look at this as I cant see that this is a good strategy as they then have to wash every basket even though we only used one. friendly staff

FOH & clerks are great, friendly & helpful. IGA prices are always some of the highest grocery prices in Montreal compared to Maxi that has the lowest grocery bill in town. I go to IGA for #1) sale items #2) laziness #3) convenience of location. If other grocery stores were closeby, I would do groceries at IGA only for on-sale items. If u ever walk by the bakery section & in house made-food (chicken, salads etc) you'll notice a lack of quality is visible. Im certain this comes from management not the workers. Burnt/very dark baked bread, and in-house baked bread not in stock after bakery dept is closed, really?? Lot of on-sale items are often out of stock esp the meats which closes very early yet they never leave extra stock for customers who shop after they leave. Whats the logic in that if the meats on sale for the week its already coming out the freezer regardless, why not just keep it stocked so at least store clerks can access it when meat dept is closed. IDC if its frozen, its better than an extra trip next day. IGA please fix this. At least its a grocery store option that's avail. For some odd reason Verdun doesnt seem to have much grocery options, I guess it goes with the demographics of dining/take out trends. I'd prefer a Maxi or Super C instead of IGA anyday.

It was a great shopping experience, I found everything I needed . Staff helped me find items . The cashier was awesome friendly, helped me bag my groceries plus brought them outside for me . I couldnt have asked for a better shopping experience. Thanks IGA !
