Vernazza is beyond beautiful and charming. The Cinque Terre area is a must when in Italy. One of the places to see in your life. The coastal drive is quite the adventure if you have your own four wheels. The Amalfi Coastal Road is easy compared to this. But it's well worth the drive. Great views. You will have to park your car outside of town. There's a free shuttle bringing you down to the village. If you do the Cinque Terre by train, then there's good news. The train station is right at the center of town. This village here offers a lot. Countless shops and restaurants. Colourful buildings everywhere and a really nice piazza and small port at the end of town. Buildings and churches with character and good food (from Anchovies to Gelato). It's fun to just wander around the village. Besides Manarola (on par) the nicest of the five towns of Cinque Terre. Loved it.

Walking Path From Monterosso, Vernassa, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore This was one of the coolest hiking paths I have taken in my travels and one I highly recommend. It definitely can be a bit long and you should ensure you take breaks and have water in between cities (as there isn't anywhere to stop and get some). The entire route can take between 4 and 6 hours but you are certain to take a stop at each of the cities. ' If you are in the area do yourself a favor and walk the entire path, it's breathtaking.
