I was directed to Hertz by my insurance as they were supposed to provide a rental car whilst mine was being repaired. They were quick enough to retrieve my bank details, and my personal information but didn't provide any inkling as to when the car would be with me. They rang me at around 9:30am on a Tuesday without any notification prior it would be that date or time, and "expected" me to be at home despite me contacting them and asking when I'd receive the car, I was ignored. I dropped the car off with the garage when I picked my car up after it'd been repaired, and almost a week later they try to say I've "damaged" the car and I owe 70. The "damage" as they call it was a slight scratch on the plastic driver side wing mirror (funnily enough in a position/angle where you would literally HAVE to INTENTIONALLY scratch the car) and tried to say "It could be someone walking past with a handbag that scratched it" or some petty excuse. Looking at my own photos of the car on the date I received it I can actually see the "scratch" on the car, but they are trying to argue this is not the case. It's quite funny, because "Alex" from Loss Control is so certain that I caused the damage... Funny isn't it how they "know" it was my fault? DO NOT USE HERTZ ACCIDENT SUPPORT. PROFESSIONAL SCAM ARTISTS.

If you get a hired vehicle make sure you spend at least an hour around the vehicle taking pictures of every single scratch and dent. I received a vehicle that had scratches and dents everywhere and the lady we will call her a lady said it's all noted and that's all fine just sign here. I signed I trusted her. Done in 2 minutes. 2 weeks after they picked up a vehicle back there is new damage. They send me the pictures. I was saying that the woman was showing me the damage and everything it was all there. They asked for proof and I didn't have any because I didn't take pictures. And you try explaining they say we are going round in circles and we have your card details so we will take the money anyway. Your fault or not. They will just take the money. So I lost 350. It's like a legal fraud. TAKE PICTURES. AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE WITH SOMEONE THERE preferably a neutral witness.

Dreadful experience. AVOID. After an accident that was not my fault, I thought I had called Admiral, the third parties insurer. In fact I’d called a company that was pretending to be Admiral. This fake company put me in touch with Hertz Accident Support. I spend nearly 2 hours on hold trying to speak to someone. The agreement they tried to place me on could have meant that I would have had to pay for the hire care if the third party’s insurer had rejected their costs.

Hire vehicle due today at 1pm. Hire car still not dhwom up nearly an hour later. Advised by Hertz the branch declined the request but nobody was available to let us know. Had I not rang up, we'd still be waiting all day.

If I could give no stars I would, they promised to sort my accident out after someone reversed into my car and drove off. There was a witness and he made a statement but after 7 weeks they called me back and said they could not do anything. I can’t believe you t as they promised either way i would get my car repaired. All lies and a waste of time please avoid this company at all costs. My insurance won’t help me now either and I am left with a damaged car which I have to pay for and get repaired........ Please avoid is these people at all costs honestly.

Awful company. Seriously..Ask your insurers for a hire car from someone else if you're unfortunate enough to be in a position to have to deal with this mob. Similar experience to other reviewers. Was provided with a completely unsuitable car (electric hybrid with no cable or means of charging the battery). Had to pay for roadside recovery and oil after engine warning lights came on. Sent receipts to Hertz 4 months ago and still not been paid back. Rude and unhelpful when you ring them up and to top it off have just had a threatening letter saying I need to pay 300 VAT for the hire within 14 days or I'll have to pay legal costs and attend court! What a joke.
