Michael's is my go-to brick and mortar chain store for yarn for my knitting and crochet projects, followed by Joann's. (If I am making a project where I need a natural fiber yarn I go to Yarns N' More, a wonderful small yarn store on Main St., Endwell, NY). Michael's is very conveniently located. It is in a non-congested strip mall just off the main roads (Vestal Parkway & African Road) with Bath & Body Works and Old Navy nearby an with easy and ample parking. The staff are always helpful and friendly and checking out is always fast. The store always looks clean, and bright. Although I gave it 5 stars I have been disappointed in all of my chain craft stores in their yarn selections for the past couple of years. It is my opinion that these stores have been carrying less yarn in terms of variety of brands offered and styles within brands. Michael's sells some name brand yarn, but also has their own brands. My most recent yarn purchase at Michael's, (skeins of yarn in 3 different colors) for a crochet baby blanket, turned out to be one of Michael's own brands even though I had set out to purchase a more expensive name-brand yarn. However, I could only find the exact colors in the quantities I needed in the Michael's brand. Although it was one of their budget yarns, the project is turning out beautifully and I am happy with my choice and the price I paid. Michael's also has loads of items for other crafts be they cake decorating, painting, wood crafts, scrap-booking, floral design, etc. The store always is an "upper" upon entering due to the season-appropriate offerings at the front of the store. The store often features sale items on the sidewalk in front of the store. Shopping for coupons and sales is a good idea. I start off by looking at Michaels.com and go from there.

Great art framing and very nice staff. For the past few years i have been working with Ben in the framing department. He is amazing at what he does. We have worked on quite a few difficult and antique projects and he has done an incredible job each and every time.

I have had several pictures custom framed and also just set in existing frames. The staff at the frame area has always been very helpful, offers constructive suggestions, and the completed work always looks great. As for the rest of the store, I am always satisfied with the huge variety of creative items I am able to get there, and customer service is consistently very good and helpful. If I had to offer any criticism, it would be prices are a little higher than I wish (although I LOVE their sales.)

Couldn't find Matte black adhesive vinyl anywhere locally, but Michael's had a vast selection of vinyl (sheets and rolls) for my needs. I was able to get exactly what I needed to letter my storefront.

Not the best Michael's I have been to, but it is definitely the best craft store in the Binghamton area. They are quick to add more cashiers when needed and all the employees are extremely nice and helpful. Extensive planner selection.

Ordered some picture frames online for store pickup. The pickup was easy enough, but unfortunately the glass on one of the frames was scratched, so I had to go back over to exchange it. No hassle with the exchange, except I had to wait in line twice and the store was a bit busy, so it took a bit longer than I would have liked. However, both cashiers were very helpful and friendly. Plus I got a great deal on the frames online. The store seems to be a little low on some inventory though, as there was lots of empty spaces on shelves.

Best and like the only craft store around. I go for cake decorating stuff. Could have a better selection but for a type of store thats dying its not too bad.

Clean shopping experience, with the expected vast selection of anything crafty. Staff was friendly and respected the 6ft rule (unlike some of the other customers)
