We went to this place due to the recommendation of a very nice local man. Upon arrival, the waiter on the ground floor made us wait 10 minutes to sit down while there were 3 tables in his section. When he told us to take a table and we sat down he read us the daily special very quickly. When i asked him to please reread it he became very irritated and said he didn't have time (Since two more tables had come) adding that look how busy he was. We ordered and after 2 minutes he came back with the appetizers and slammed them down on the table. His energy was frenetic and aggressive. We decided to leave so I can't comment on the food, but the service leaves a lot to desire. Don't recommend if you're a traveling pilgrim.
A very good restaurant on the main pedestrian street of Viana and the same one the \encierro\ is run on. The restaurant is mainly downstairs in the cellar with the bar upstairs. It a lot bigger than you first think with 2 main cellars downstairs both of which have a giant barrel keg of cider, which is free and you then serve yourself as often as you wish. The restaurant is famous for its \Chuleton\ (a huge steak on the bone) which you then grill to you perfect on a hot stone bed. The also serve other Spanish delicacies. Reasonably priced as well.
The tapas/pintxos here was awesome and very reasonably priced. Sitting outside for lunch on a nice day is highly recommended, as the location on the main thoroughfare of viana is excellent. The bathrooms are very nice as well.
Disappointed! Service shocking forgot our order then forgot our wine and glasses. Had the pilgrims meal EUR13 Ensalada Mixta ok nice and fresh, Churasca a la Parrilla was lamb chops so tough served with French fries dessert was rice pudding which was ok. .
