In addition to award-winning professional theatre experiences for families, Kaleidoscope Theatre runs a theatre school for young people offering classes in musical theatre, acting, dance, and performance for film and television. For young artists, Kaleidoscope is a launching pad – providing professional support, training, and experiences to develop their vision and craft through various workshops, productions, and classes through the society’s Performing Arts Studio, engaging over one-hundred full times students annually. Under the vision of Artistic Director Roderick Glanville, Kaleidoscope Theatre presents: a mainstage season of plays relevant to the BC School Curriculum; a year-round theatre school for young people ages 6 to 17 years; a Young Playwrights Festival for aspiring playwrights, a Family Theatre Festival that presents original productions; as well as numerous camps and workshops for all ages.
