As a visual artist, I draw inspiration from many sources. Massage is important for both my physical health as well as my mental wellness. I’ve been going to Rebecca for a little over a year now and her work has become a regular part of my health and inspirational regimen. She intuitively seeks out the areas where I need the most work, the places where I hold tension and anxiety, and focuses a little extra on those places. Usually it’s my neck/shoulder areas and my arms/hands because I use them so much in my creative practice. When the work gets intense, she reminds me to breathe. Hands down, the most individualized and detail-minded massage in Baton Rouge! I go into a meditative place and literally ‘see’ colors and images in my mind’s eye that inspire my studio work. I believe that when our mind•body•spirit are in alignment, we create the most authentic work. For me, Vida Pura Spa, is a vital part of that regimen.

My experience at Vida Pura Spa was amazing! The adorable waiting area, with comfy couches, tea, and water allows you to start relaxing right away. I had a 90 minute massage with Rebecca that was perfect. Just by asking a few questions about what I do everyday, she was able to pinpoint exactly where I needed the most attention. The massage was relaxing, but with the perfect firm pressure to get deep into the muscle and undo the stress I put on my shoulders and back every day. With 90 minutes she worked my entire body, feet to face/ scalp with essential oils, warm towels and hot stones! Even with a shorter massage, you will feel rejuvenated and limber after Rebecca relaxes your muscles. She knew I was timid about the fire cupping, so she introduced a few silicone suction cups into the massage to let me see how they felt. It was strange, but I could definitely tell how those areas were benefiting from the released tension! Maybe I will give the fire cupping a try next time! What an unbelievable and new massage experience! Recovering from a recent shoulder injury, I decided try this out. Cupping, hot stones, expert hands, and total immersive luxury is what Pura Vida Spa has to offer. My therapist was a true professional. She skillfully worked with my injury, which resulted in instant pain relief and greater freedom of movement. So I happy I tried this! I will definitely be back!

I was blown away by my 90 min. knead me session! It included full body massage, cupping therapy, hot towels, hot stones, facial massage and facial cupping- talk about all encompassing. It was completely tailored to my needs and goals, and the staff was incredible from booking the appointment to being on the table. I feel so balanced, so relaxed, and so grateful to have found this spa!!
