I love the curries at Pitaya! The yellow and green curries are very tasty.

TLDR at the bottom. I'll be starting with the negatives however I've visited the restaurant to have take away not eating on the spot. Negatives : - Food: I've tested two curry variants after seeing the positive reviews online. First impressions were that the portions were quite generous for 10 meals. They're cooked into circular boxes. However basically 60% of it's rice. The rice is sticky but not the sticky kind; eatable with chopsticks but more porridge like... sticky. It's bland and uninteresting meant to fill you up. However, the garnish is nice. A mix of vegetables well spread along with the curry's gravy was well done. The rest of the bowl was 10% garnish, 27% gravy and 3% meat. The latter is the disappointment. The lack of meat was surprising. Tiny pieces of chicken were playing hide and seek with me and it was quite frankly... sad. I am aware that Pittaya's a chain of restaurants and they surely follow a list of recipes but it's such a shame. Positive: - Service: The second I entered I was hastily greeted by the cashier along with one of the cooks. Despite the fact that they were wearing masks I could hear their smile from their cheerfulness. The cashier immediately took my order, was able to inform me a bit on how new this restaurant in the area was. When my order was finished they were quick to wish me a nice day with a smile. It was nice. - Dining room: When you enter, you can see all of the chefs to the left cooking and leaves waiting consumers or food delivery lads something to watch. Small tables are placed to the right and towards the back comfortably. The lights are bright enough to illuminate the decor and it straight up just feels cosy. - Speed : It took no more than 10 minutes for both of my orders to be finished. TLDR: Food can be improved. Will it be? I don't know but definitely hope so. Quality / Price as of now is okay for the 10. Staff is really kind. Would recommend if you want some asian food but have none in your area.
