The National Association of Creative and Cultural Industries is a non profit organization founded in 2008 by the group of professionals and experts of the field. It is an organization that represents all the sectors of creative and cultural industries in Lithuania. Currently the association has more than 60 members, including colleges and universities that have study programs connected with cultural and creative industries, other associations that represent specific sectors of cultural and creative industries, art incubators and hubs, public institutions and creative business companies, creative communities and single persons. The association represents creative and cultural industries in the field of policy making. The main purpose is to seek a sustainable development of creative and cultural industries in Lithuania and create a favorable legislative and legal system for the sector. Therefore the association participates in the policy making related to culture and higher education, sets up recommendations for study programs, prepares and submits recommendations for the funding programs and means for the creative and cultural industries. Furthermore, the association collects information about creative and cultural industries and disseminates news about the current issues in creative industries, collaborations between art and science, innovations, creative partnerships and other useful material. Moreover, the association commissions and carries out various researches and organizes training sessions and seminars. Finally, the association looks for new contacts in Lithuania and beyond, helps to establish contacts and supports networking in the sector of creative and cultural industries. It participates in networking projects and keeps in touch with the Baltic sea region. Therewith the association supports clustering in the sector and works as a creative cluster itself.
