I have been bringing my daughter to Vintage Valley Sporthorses now for almost 3 years. This barn sits on over 2000 acres with 70 acres devoted to the horses alone. They have a nice big indoor arena, an outdoor arena and round pin, plus there are lots of trails if you want to get some fresh air. The scenery driving up to the barn is just amazingly beautiful. I look forward to bringing my daughter there all the time. It truly is my home away home. Bill Payne has been such an inspiration to my daughter. He has gotten her through all the great times and the not so great times. Bill has pushed her to her breaking points and to see her shine when she gets past it is truly amazing. I have watched my little girl turn into a very confident young adult. When we took the step to buy our own horse (Mimosa). Yes we bought a young horse (5 years old) that had no training and yes my daughter had just turn 12 not too long after we bought Mimosa. And having such a young rider and horse the cards were stack against us. Long story short, after a year of training these two have a great bond and look amazing together. I always look forward to seeing them ride! Bill has an amazing talent to turn a horse that had no training into a remarkable Beauty. I will forever be grateful for all his time and energy. And I look forward to seeing what will happen when both my Daughter and Mimosa are at their prime. Lastly, my experience at Vintage Valley Sporthorses has and is currently spectacular. All of the families that bring their children here have become my extended family. And the Girls at TEAM VVS truly do support each other everyday! Thank you Bill Payne for this amazing journey and I recommend anyone who is interested in a life changing experience to come here.

My daughter is a competitive Eventer and stables her horse at a farm near Vintage Valley. As she advanced upwards in skill, her dressage scores were suffering. This is when we found Mitchell Dressage Series at Vintage Valley. A nice, clean farm that held Dressage competitions. We've competed there twice and have had a great time. The people that ran the farm were exceptionally nice. My daughter will be competing there whenever Vintage Valley holds a dressage competition.

Nice facility with good arenas and very pleasant folks at the barn. Suitable for beginner lessons. However, if you are looking for intermediate or advanced instruction, compare the quoted rates with those of other dressage and eventing programs in the area (as well as the competition record of the instructor and students). Not recommended for training board or training of young horses.

Nice indoor and decent outdoor arenas. Would recommend for a beginner rider just starting out or a person just wanting to ride around. Would not recommend for anyone wanting to seriously and safely compete. The horsemanship here is lacking especially in the field of horse nutrition , tending to injuries, and working with green horses. Professionalism when dealing with clients is also lacking and younger adult clients are not treated like True clients.

Outstanding instructional experience and friendly atmosphere! Having been involved with equestrian activities for the past 16 years across the U.S. and overseas, I feel VVS has one of the best atmospheres I've encountered. My family has taken instruction in hunter, dressage, and western disciplines and rented horses at a variety of locations and I really think Bill has built something special here. The facility is exceptionally nice considering the rates are not exorbitant like some \high end\ barns. Bill has also brought together a great herd - both for the sake of the horses and the riders. In answer to some critical reviews that this barn is not for serious instruction or only for pony rides....well I think that is baloney. Bill is a tough teacher who will challenge riders to improve. He's not going to let you get away without trying hard. If you or your child wants a \pony ride experience\ he'll help you find a different barn. But at the same time he will be emotionally invested in you. He really cares as has been evident when some riders have headed off to college and he becomes quite choked up. (Sorry, Bill, to let everyone know that!!) The barn also offers additional opportunities such as the Mitchell Dressage Series, a riding team, and now is forming a Pony Club group. I highly, highly recommend VVS for instruction, boarding, and joining a very positive equestrian community.
