I visit this place often. A place of history. Lovely to sit beside. Great in summer. A sight of entertainment at certain times of the year.

Every Friday morning a large market takes place around the streets adjoining la porte horloge. Fresh produce, fish vegetables, fruit and much more. Enjoy sausage and chips that can be eaten in the PMU bar with a kir or beer. What a super place. This is full of history and can be viewed on the inside when there is an exhibition. William II (son of William the Conqueror) England lived in this place. Destroyed by England in 2nd world war. Some battlements still survive.
