We did the Train ride / Sunset Tour/ and the Scramble. Absolutely recommend pre purchasing your tickets and visiting Meteora!

I stayed 2 days in kalampaka during my road trip in central Greece and Visit Meteora was my first stop. They answered patiently every question I had, they told me how to efficiently spend my time there, best spots for sightseeing and photography and gave me a detailed map of Meteora with hiking trails...all for free! Oh, and they have an adorable cat!

I went on both the sunset tour and the half day tour. The sunset tour was probably the better deal of the two. We saw all the monasteries from a far but only had time to enter one. We visited the oldest church, stopped to take in views of the caves and a very breathtaking sunset. If you want to walk through a few of the monasteries, the half day tour is great. They take you to a few (it changes depending on the day as some are closed on certain days) and it didn't overlap with the one we visit on the sunset tour the day prior. The tour guides are very friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining. They pick you up and drop you off at your hotel or their office in town.

(Sunset tour) Jim was a great guide who was extremely knowledgeable and informative. Do take a tour if you are genuinely interested in knowing about the history of Meteora instead of just hiking to take some photographs.

We did the hiking tour in the morning and later the sunset tour, and it was a very nice experience. The hiking tour will take you through a very interesting zone, and the sunset tour will complement what you saw on the hiking tour. The guides were excellent, the organization great, I highly recommend visitmeteora and both tours.

Only one bad thing about Meteora Is that some of the monasterys require women to wear these long skirts, kind of sexist if you know the history behind the reason. But Meteora Is one of the top places in Greece to see for sure!! We spent 5 nights here. So much good hiking and rock climbing. Wish we had more time to visit other areas nearby like Zagoria.

We did a hiking tour with them in February. We ended up on a private tour with Dimitri (as we were in the low season). He was awesome gave us so much information that we would not have learnt on the internet. The only downfall is that we would have continued the walk even longer. We considered going walking by ourselves but this was definitely money well spent.
