This is the visitor center for the county where you will find the majority of Yosemite National Park. The park is so big that it is spread across several counties. If that weren't enough, there are two amazing State Parks. Columbia Historic State Park. It is an original gold rush town that is now owned by the state. They keep it, in their words, in a state of arrested decay. Wooden boardwalks, historic hotel where you can spend the night. Candy store where you can watch them making candy through the big picture window. Musicians strolling through town. Too much more to write here. Railtown 1897. Steam Train excursions. Roundhouse tours in the only original roundhouse west of the Mississippi. This is called the movie railroad because of all of the hundreds of movies and TV shows made here. A real must see! Believe it or not, there is still more. . .
