A small permanent exhibit with paintings, artifacts and sculptures with a related theme— Voorburg and its environs. All explanations in Dutch though staff speaks English and are willing to answer questions. Learn about the Roman influence, the Hadriani settlement and Marianne.

Small but nice

A visit is only worth for a couple of paintings by Mauve (The Hague School) and the Roman artifacts from the Forum Hadriani. The rest is third rate paintings and kitsch (loads of it), you have the impression that locals dump their unwanted possessions into the care of this museum. The staff matches the level of the collections.

A small museum containing paintings, Roman artifacts, a small collection of objects belonging to Princess Marianne.
