Matthew has helped me immensely with some contemporary pop songs that require a smooth transition into mixed voice. Matthew broke everything down very plainly and that helped me to understand. He showed me how to access my mixed voice and my head voice without sounding choppy and without going sharp. Highly recommend him for voice lessons!

I cannot thank Angela and VOXnorthwest Voice Studio enough, for all they have done for my daughter. Angela is a true gem of a human being. She is knowledgeable in her craft, amazingly supportive, kind and so so wonderful in building up her students. Under Angela’s voice lessons and coaching, my daughter has learned how to best utilize her vocal skills and how to continue to adapt to the changes her vocals skills will go through, as she continues to grow and mature. Angela has been a true gift for our family, as she is an amazing role model and inspiration for my child. We value and appreciate her skills and her amazingly kind style to encourage the love for singing in a healthy and productive way.
VOXnorthwest helped me improve my vocal skills in so many ways. I began working with Matthew Hayward about 3 years ago, and he showed me so much in regards to my vocal performance. He is a phenomenal teacher that flourishes in his craft. His compassion for his students makes him an amazing teacher. In 2018, I had the privilege of eligibility for All-Nationals 2018 auditions, and without VOXnorthwest and Matthew Hayward, I would not have been able to construct an audition recording for entry. Highly recommend VOXnorthwest and big thanks to Matthew Hayward!
Great quality training. Wonderful, kind, fun and supportive coaches. I've worked with Angela Niederloh for three years and continuously see growth in my voice each week. She pushes me to be a better performer, vocalist, and individual. She is also just an amazing human and brings so much joy into my life. Angela has been a role model to me and I can't say enough good things about her! Very professional, yet comfortable environment. Highly recommend!
Matt and Angela are amazing vocal instructors who are committed to offering high quality instruction along with unique performance opportunities for students in the Portland/SW Washington metro area. My daughter has been a part of their studio for the past year and has grown immensely with her vocal technique, range and overall confidence as a singer. Her experience in the summer Young Artist Program remains at the top of her list of favorite performance experiences to date. Matt and Angela meet students where they are developmentally, and help them reach their goals with constant love, support and encouragement.
