It's a beautiful and accessible canoe launch. They have a a pier to do some pan fishing. It also connects to other trails. They do have a small parking lot. And they have restrooms.

Not to shabby of a canoe launch. Decent parking and also has a small picnic area on top of a look out area.
Kayaking down the des plains river. Very calm and relaxing. Easy to kayak like a lake with a variety of cranes and foliage. Small parking lot at the launch area, decent pit toilets

First time launching here and it easily became one of my favs!
Loved it got to relax and enjoyed my time with my nephew just talking while he fished
Never catch anything and the mudflats down to the water are ridiculous... Fishing dock always has someone on it and is maybe big enough for 2 to fish....even then I'd be scared I'd get hooked. There's basically no water access unless u actually are the first person on the dock or have a kayak or canoe. Unless you want to trek through 1-6" deep mudflats and tall grass and reeds
