Jesse and Nick are wonderful, knowledgeable, friendly, and their boat is electric. They rescue downed birds, know all the local fishermen, care about the turtles and the dolphins: which they will follow and check in on if they see a pod (Bottlenose and Spinners!). Jesse helped us find nudibranch and all the endemic fish in the area; and we talked about what pelagic species we might find. They'll let you know what else to see on the island, and explore locations near and far to the launch for what is best for the conditions. We still keep up with them on Instagram and were reading other dive reviews and realized we had forgotten to let the internet know how much we enjoyed our time with them ... 3 months ago. We'd consider going back to Kauai for a month just to dive with them again (maybe for the Rescue Diver class... if they teach it.) -SeanKate
Nick and Jesse prepared an amazing adventure for us. The small group was a great atmosphere and made the trip exciting and fun. I joined them on a trip to Niihau which was such a unique dive and had a blast! If you're diving Kauai it has to be with them!
We had the pleasure of going out on Ni‘ihau dives with both Nick and Jessie. From the boat ride to the dives themselves, they were both extremely fun, energetic, informative, and accommodating. Our entire group of 5 divers felt that this was one of th best diving experiences we've ever had. I will be booking dives with them whenever I visit Kauai!
I saw fish, eels, and turtles on two long, beautiful dives. Nick impressively found camouflaged animals, and taught me a lot about Hawaii. I even came out of it a more confident diver.
HUGE fan of these two. Was recommended by friends to reach out to them for a dive and really enjoyed it. Nick is clearly an experienced captain and Jesse is practically a walking/swimming encyclopedia of knowledge about the marine life (and birds) on, around, above and under Kauai. After a great day of diving I reached out again to book them a boat tour of the Napali coast with some friends - zero regrets as we were able to find a pod of spinner dolphins as well as a few bottlenose and caught some gorgeous views of the coast along the way! Highly recommend
We had a great time diving with Jessie and Nick. Jessie did a great job finding and pointing out lots of interesting and endemic marine life. The boat ride and diving were relaxing. We never felt rushed during the dive.or topside. I would highly recommend Explore Kauai Scuba.
GO with Nick and Jessie!! The best option!!! Six of us went out on the boat to see the Na Pali Coast. One person in our group also went out on a separate scuba trip with Nick&Jessie and it was the highlight of his 3-week stay on Kauai. Right out of the dock we saw several pods of dolphins - bottle nose and spinner. Nick and Jessie did an excellent job in making sure we got photos, while sticking to the timeline. I appreciated Nick setting us all up so we knew how to be safe on the boat. Nick stopped a few times along the way to explain other islands, history, landmarks - which was awesome. Jessie even had delicious sandwiches and snacks and drinks packed for us. After seeing the coast we had the BEST snorkeling we've had on Kauai (after trying 3-4 other spots). Jessie guided us to an octopus, schools of fish, honu... Thank you Nick & Jessie!!!
