Dan was definitely the Man! To be honest, our tour got off to a terrible start, the company made us reschedule our flight because another couple cancelled, this was an extreme inconvenience that caused us to completely rework our schedule and drive 3 hours out of our way, despite the fact that we had already booked an airbnb right next to the airport for our original departure date. But if it wasn't for that, this would have easily been a 5-star trip. Our great experience was primarily because we had Dan the most amazing pilot one could have ever hope for. He really did an amazing job! The views were out of this world and having the doors off was an experience that will never be forgotten.

We purchased a Costco voucher to use this helicopter tour service (Kohala waterfalls) and saved significantly versus island prices. That said, the staff were really nice and the tour was spectacular. The pilot even gave us an extra 5min of flight time. He was kind to my daughter who was 6 and asked lots of questions.. Only one caution- if you have the one middle seat on the helicopter, your experience would be subpar. My daughter had that seat and it was fine for her...but an adult looking to take photos/videos would be disappointed.

Everyone should do it once in their lifetime. Amazing and knowledgeable pilot Ryan. Photos and videos don't do justice to these beautiful waterfalls created by mother natural.

Wife and I took the open door tour for our 40th anniversary. We both enjoyed it very much. Pilot was great in explaining the environment, history, and highlights, plus he was funny. Best part was flying up the valley with the 2,900 foot waterfall and seeing Wales off shore.

The doors off helicopter ride waterfalls and valleys is beyond words mind blowing!!! If you only do one thing on the big island, you have to make it this!!! It was !00 times better than I imagined. Very informative and spectacular views. I also did the doors off in Hilo which was awesome too,but since I can only have 1 best thing I did in Hawaii, this is it!!!! { Hilo came in a very close number 2} I would like to give an extra 5 stars for Matt our pilot. He is the icing on the cake!!!! You sure are lucky to have this guy and i was extremely lucky to have him as my pilot both times!!!! If I make it back to the big island, i will do this again. Thanks you and believe it or not I am still smiling!!

We took the Waimea Kohala Doors-Off Valley & Waterfalls tour. Cost was 274/person which included 50 flash sale discount. Good bang for your buck. The pilot Matt and staff were very professional and friendly. Our group of 5 all felt safe. Smooth ride. Spectacular views. Great tour if it's your first time in a helicopter. 30 min ride. Camera's must be tethered to you. Cannot be loose. Highly recommend.
