First time staying in Hawaii. Hali'i Kai 19H is a beautiful condo. There is tons to do nearby, and everyone I have interacted with from the office has been super friendly and helpful. When I return to Hawaii, I will be booking with South Kohala again.

My wife and I stayed at the Mauna Kea Fairways North #16 and had the experience of a lifetime. This opulent house was a blessing to call home for our 7-day honeymoon. Right when we got in, we were greeted by an amazing sunset from the pool deck that over looked the Mauna Kea Golf course. We awakened every morning with the sound of waves and an amazing view. This place is conveniently located between two golf courses as well as some of the best beaches in the whole world where you can rent boogie boards, paddle boards, surf board, Scuba gear and all the fun beach stuff. We spent a lot of time exploring the Big Island, so often we needed grounding between adventures. There is so many fun things to do at the resort for all ages. We utilized our giant kitchen for and ate at the amazing restaurants at the resort. Our favorite restaurant was Hau Tree because you can sit right on the beach and eat. Our place had a great pool and pool deck that allowed us to do yoga on the deck and jump in the pool for laps after. Sunsets and views here were unbeatable! This house was very special and carried loving energy. Alex was extremely helpful and helped and gave us amazing recommendations on what to do on the island. The management staff at South Kohala was also top notch and made it very easy for us. We highly recommend this place and cannot wait to come back!

Stay away. Stay far away. Low-rent toxic company knowingly renting derelict properties under false pretenses. Disjointed check-in process, thoroughly damaged furnishings throughout the property. Property was not prepared for our arrival. Staff was dismissive, at best, and combative, at worst. Had to abandon property less than a day into our stay due to the substandard conditions of property. 1-star is generous. Truly miserable experience.

I just had the most incredible vacation of my life. My family rented Kolea 8, an oceanfront home located right by the Waikoloa resort. We arrived in Hawaii after a pretty nightmarish flying experience, and it was like walking into heaven when we arrived in our gorgeous home with the beautiful ocean just steps away. The home has an infinity pool and hot tub right on the water, and the sunset views are phenomenal. The kitchen is large and modern, the bed rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated, and there is also a large at home movie theatre. The house is directly on the ocean and is a short walk away from A-Bay, one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen, especially if you hike farther south towards the smaller, less travelled sandy beaches. The Lava Lava Lounge is located right in the sand on the beach and has one of the best happy hour menus I have ever seen. For Big Island trips, I highly recommend Volcano National Park and Waipio Valley. Downtown Hilo was also beautiful - plenty of organic food markets, shops and antique stores. And the farmers market in the town of Waimea is a great way to spend a Saturday morning if you like good live entertainment, delicious locally grown food and candies. South Kohala Management was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful in selecting the right home for our family vacation. We are already planning our return trip in the spring.

We just had a wonderful stay at 321 KaMilo. The check in was easy and it was very nice of them to allow us to arrive a few hours early, as the place was not rented out for a few days before we arrived. I know that is not always doable but it was nice that they were accommodating when they could be. They also were very quick to take care of small things, like our propane ran out and we had a new one the next morning. The house is so well appointed, nicely laid out and even though the development is so tight, the way this one is situated and landscaped, we felt very private and it was quite. Would return anytime!
