Truly breathtaking. I did the Honopu Ridge trail, which was fairly challenging, but the views were definitely worth it. Around 4 miles round trip, finished in about 3 hours. 1500 ft elevation change.

The canyon lookouts were amazing. Parking is not very difficult to find and only costs 5 for the entire park with several lookout spots. There are also trails for anyone who likes hiking. Restrooms are also available, which is always a plus when you're deep in the mountains. Bring your camera!

Awesome place. Well worth the 1.8 mile hike. Beautiful views. Take plenty of water and a snack. The overlook was really powdery dry so stay to the left and the waterfalls are a short distance past. Pictures don't do this place justice!

A fun hike but a work out. Well worth it by the end. There were a lot of people on the trail, so it wasn’t as peaceful as we’re used to. But well worth it.

I’m an avid hiker and I would classify this hike as moderately challenging. Under both dry and wet conditions, it’s easy to lose your footing even with sturdy hiking boots. Not recommended for when travelling with children or elderly. Fatalities on this trail are common as marked by graves and memorials. You don’t want to mess around with nature. Very popular trail for good reason - magnificent views. Helicopters whizz by and there are tons of people after 10. Start early to guarantee parking and peace.

This is a must on Kauai. Views are amazing and it truly is the Grand Canyon of Hawaii. Be sure to stop at some of the little pull offs before the bigger lookouts. Recommend going on a helicopter ride also. The views of the canyon are off the hook.

For the experienced hiker this trail is easy/medium: not because it's super difficult but it's very slippery and the majority of the uphill climb is on the way back. I would not recommend this for families with smaller children or anyone with poor balance. It is very rewarding. The views on the cliffs and the waterfall are incredible. This hike is similar to the Upper Yosemite hike bc you end up at the top of the waterfall and if you look down it's a good 250 ft or more to the bottom. So beautiful. Definitely would recommend this hike. Probably will take about 3-4 hours. Do it! Also if you can handle frigid water bring an extra set of clothes and go for a swim in the water at the uppermost fall. (See pic)

Great hike! Great views! Moderate” is pretty generous though. More on the “Easy” side, especially if you drive in and park at trailhead. Real quick hike in an out - passed a few families with little kids. We went when the trail was dry though, and I can see how it’d be slippery & little sketchy in some areas - if wet/muddy. I wouldn’t take young ones if trail is wet. Nice hike if you’re short on time, but there are definitely better hikes in the canyon.
