I was a little worried about spending 2 nights here after reading some reviews on another website. There were not a lot of other options anymore (trip last weekend) because of the beautiful weather so we decided to book a double and a single room at Chez Phil. What a pleasant surprise this little hotel. I stayed in a single room which was renewed. It was perfect for one person. Bed had a really good mattress, modern tv, own toilet and shower (small but very good water quality compared to some other showers you sometimes get in hotels). The room was also very clean. It was located on the street side which could be noisy sometimes but not a problem for me because I sleep with earplugs. Even though it was really hot outside (over 30 degrees), it was not too hot for me in the room. Basic breakfast but certainly enough. The owner (as well as the 2 girls who served our dinner the first evening) were also very friendly. This place is a very good value for money.

Cosy, friendly, goodsimole food. Perfect after a day of hard cycling.

Service very friendly, food was fine, but the dozens of dead flies on the windowsill ((that looked like they had been there all summer or longer) along with living ones being swiped away every mouthful of food, without any reaction of staff was enough that the visit will not be repeated - sad - cleanliness is the most important aspect of a restaurant

Typical small town bar with good beer and adequate food. Friendly staff.

What a dreary place! It is a cafe/restaurant/friture but it looks like a laundry saloon. Try to avoid it if you can. We decided not to stay for dinner but left after a beer: it's good beer selecation made the difference between 1 and 2 stars.
