I loved staying here and would definitely come back! It‘s a beautiful house with a big kitchen, spacious living area, nice salt water pool, clean rooms and showers and a camp site for tents and motor homes outside. Very family friendly. The hostel dog Max is very well-behaved and they have a mama pig with three little piglets outside that get the food scraps from the kitchen. Definitely the perfect spot to stay if you are interested in going to the Waitomo Glowworm caves!

5 stars hostel. Very clean tidy and closer to waitomo cave. If you are going to visit glowworm cave, this is the best place to stay. For animal lovers, don't miss it! To Dave, CUTE manager, CRAZY NICE dog ️ Thank you so much.

Friendly staff. Great place. We had a tent site for two nights. Kitchen is well equipped. Hot shower. Swimming pool looks nice but we didn't have time for it.

What a wonderful surprise, great amenities, pool is a bonus. Kids helped feed the animals and welcoming of our furry family member too (dog). Exceptional value for money.

The receptionist was one of the kindest people I had ever met. She was helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The rooms were nice, and the showers were hot. There are more showers down the hall from the bathroom that took me a bit to find. There was a large bug in the kitchen, but it's a kitchen and that happens. The beds weren't the coziest, but the lounge was comfortable.

The best campsite we've stayed in so far! This place offers camping for tents, powered and unpowered vehicles, private rooms and dorm rooms. The price is reasonable for a campsite and cheap for the facilities you get. 16 per person per night for an unpowered campsite. There is a saltwater swimming pool (with noodles, tyre tubes and reclining chairs), tennis court (rackets and balls available from reception), squash wall, basketball hoop, huge lounge, verandah and kitchen, showers, laundry and toilets. There are farm animals (calves, pigs, piglets and deer) which are fed twice a day (morning and 5:30pm) and you can pet them. The owner/manager is very friendly and always has his small dog Max around. The laundry is 2 for a cold wash and you can hang your clothes outside to dry. The showers have very good pressure, very hot, clean and modern. Kitchen is equipped with everything you need - three ovens, microwaves, toasters, toastie machine, blender, slow cooker, rice cooker and much more. The lounge is big yet cosy in a kinda log cabin style with a freestanding fire. Also TV with DVDs, books and bean bags. Everything is perfectly clean (rubbish emptied every day, towels changed etc). Free wifi included (not always great but does the trick). There are plenty of places to park/pitch your tent with/without shade. I wish we could stay longer!
