Lovely, clean and very informative spot. Parking for the covered bridge for Wakefield. Hiking trails and swimming below bridge. Outdoor portable washrooms. Nice spot to have a picnic lunch. Heritage buildings on site.

A nice little historical spot in Wakefield. Not much to do in the winter months but it’s a great place in the summer for a picnic and an opportunity to hike and site see. The covered bridge is just across the street which is very cool and the views of the river are very pleasant.

A miniature Pioneer village with lots of cool stuff for kids. Also convenient to covered bridge and swimming at the Wakefield Rocks

Fun and fabulous historical place - offers regular live music nights, reinactments, a wonderful museum, a community garden, a barn also has a beautiful wooded are to venture in with a great seating area by a water fall and is in walking distance to the famous Wakefield Covered Bridge. This venue hosts many types of events for a very affordable cost - Festivals, Expos, Weddings, Family reunions, Birthday parties and much more.

Great swimming hole across the street, apparently there's bands here at night on the weekends. Looks fun though

An interesting and well managed ability full of fascinating stories that do well to reflect the area. I particularly enjoyed the model railway. So much to take in my family and I will be back again this spring to visit.

Beautiful, quiet museum. There are tables outside that are great for having a small picnic. There's also a short trail up behind the log cabin. Great place to get away from hustle and bustle of the city.
