My Grandfather resided in the Hospice of Charles County for the last 10 days of his life. The staff, in all varied roles, nurses, administration, the individuals who provided care in the morning and evenings and the chaplain, each were pleasant, caring and provided tremendous hospitality to my family and I. To be with a family member/loved one while they are close to passing away is an emotional experience and sometimes individuals who work in the healthcare field providing any form of care/direct services, do not always have a sensitive and kind demeanor, to say the least. The Hospice center of Charles County made the experience that we had to face and accept, an easier experience to handle. If you and/or your family are looking for a loving environment for a loved one, look no further, I would recommend the Hospice Center of Charles County with no second thoughts. God, please bless the reader(s).

The in home hospice service was terrible. They make a bunch of promises to the family about being there at the time of death if help is needed. My sister died of cancer screaming for 6 hours in pain. I barely had any meds to give her. The nurse barley checked her the day before she died. She had bruises everywhere. I called Charles Regional hospital and the nurse in the background asked was that my sister screaming I said yes I need help and they did nothing. It wasn't until my last attempt they sent an ambulance to take her to the hospice center. The CEO is a joke he never calls when he said he would. His assistant acts like she never receives my email. He also violated HIPPA policy he added my other sister on LinkedIn. If you care about your family you might want to think elsewhere.
