If I could give zero I stars I would. This company is blatantly unresponsive. They have an emergency number, but their on-call technician doesn’t exist. I’ve been without heat, going on 4 days now. In February, I went 4 days without heat, too- only there was snow on the ground at that time. These people just don’t respond. I’ve left several voicemails. Sent emails to Ryan Homes (who contracts this company to work on our homes). Submitted ticket after ticket. Nothing works. When workers actually show up (because many times they don’t show up or they show up VERY late- outside of their window- don’t mind that I took off work to wait for you) they don’t speak English and can’t communicate what they’re doing/what the problems are/how to prevent the issues from happening in the future, and they’re absolutely incompetent. It took them coming to the house 6 times to replace a motor that was literally cracked in half and then glued back together and reinstalled into my HVAC system. How did they not see it sooner? Did they just not care? How is this allowed to happen? How is this company still in business?
We called the company and they said they are unable to provide service to us because we are out of our warranty window by three months. We also noticed a few other neighbors are without their AC even though our houses are about 2-3 years young. I would give them a zero if it would allow me. Terrible company!
Southern Maryland Heating installed our hvac system on our new home and the heat doesn't work. The unit will not turn off technician came to make repairs and said everything was fixed but there was no difference after he left. I had been turning the unit off at the breaker panel but he instructed me to just cut it off at the emergency cut off. So I did but it sparked very brightly and damaged the breaker. The only thing I can say is that the technician was polite.
I posted this earlier & mysteriously it happened to disappear off of their Facebook page. Along with the other complaints on aggressive driving You know aggressive driving is against the law. This is something that this company should teach their drivers. I was on the ramp Northbound Branch Avenue, sitting in line to enter the Beltway when truck number 126 (see picture) decided he did not want to wait in the long line of traffic waiting to enter the Beltway bullied his way into traffic by aggressively merging into the side of my car pushing me up against the Jersey wall. I continuously laid on my horn but did not seem to matter. As I passed him on the Beltway the driver looked at me laughed and smiled. After an hour trying to contact the company to file a complaint. I was placed on hold to talk to the owner secretary only to be forgotten about I hung up tried calling back again no answer. Being that this is not the first complaint this company has had.. see other review. A complaint will be filed.
I hope you can repair hvac better than you can drive... what would make you think anyone would call the number on the van for repairs when you drive like your on the final lap in nascar? I recommend you drive like you have common sense or take the name off the van..

Southern Maryland HVAC has the worst installers and customer service. Just purchased my home in June, 2017. Sept. 2017 had to call for service to my unit due to a leak. It is now May, 2018 and I had to call due to no AC and yet again another leak. Again, I state that this is a brand new home with a "NEW SYSTEM". Called Customer Service and spoke with "CLAIRE" who was rude as if she was HOT and BOTHERED by my phone call when I'm the one with no AC. Hoping she feels the HEAT and actually have "TAYLOR- service manger" return my call or better yet an owner of the COMPANY. Absolutely ridiculous that you are rude and cut me off when it's your job to provide "Customer Service" I'm sure Southern Maryland HVAC wouldn't be happy to be in a HOT house with a 6 month old baby. Oh yeah, I failed to mentioned that I was told and I quote "we are extremely busy due to the weather and may not be able to call me back until the end of the week".. WOW, What a way to buy more time as I sit with your BAD INSTALL and HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Would appreciate someone who really knows what they are doing at Southern Maryland HVAC or at least cares about business responds or calls with better customer service and effective responses and results. Sorry if being in a HOT house with a 6 month old are "MY CONCERNS". Actually it's a way for you to try and milk money from a customer without addressing your issue and fault up front. Just be honest that it's a bad install and send out a real professional to re-install the unit and fix my issue and then you won't have to deal with customers calling at all. Do the job the right way the first time.
