I can't say enough about the experience I had when going for treatment at The Koch Center. From start to finish, I felt so cared for. Not only was I helped tremendously with my anxiety, depression and overall emotion regulation, I always felt the therapists were rooting me on as I went throughout the process. Each person I dealt with was professional and highly skilled. I cannot recommend The Koch Center enough.

I’ve have been in three programs here over the years, each with different therapists. I got a lot out of these groups and the therapists are really kind and caring. It’s clear that the staff is experienced, and it’s nice that they work together as a team to help the patient meet their individual goals. Happy to say I’m doing well and don’t need to be going, but I would definitely go back to the Koch Center if I needed more help.

The Koch Center has been wonderful for my family! All of the therapists have been professional, smart, and caring to us and our child. Our DBT skills group leader was excellent. She was very interactive and patient and was invested in us learning the DBT skills. The individual therapist was also superb and very astute in terms of helping our child with the behaviors she needed to change (anxiety, depression, oppositional). Everyone was always responsive and professional. We have been to many other treatment centers and therapists and I can say hands down that this was our best experience by FAR! I wish we had found you sooner.

Honestly, the only mental health provider that made us feel hopeless and helpless. Clearly all about the money. The therapists are young, inexperienced and not qualified. They only take patients who do not actually need help so that they can say they are successful. I do not recommend.

An absolute waste of time and money!!!! We had a very problematic issue with our teenager. We were referred to the “Koch Center”. Probably one of the Worst personal mental health decisions ever. We lost 320 and a week in helping our child, and in identifying an expert who could help our child. This is not an inexperienced review! I volunteer at a high school education program for underprivileged kids in Paterson and I was on the “Board of The Children of Bellevue” in New York City. My wife and I have worked w troubled kids and parents, prior to having an issue with our own child. In any event. We waited a week to meet with a representative at the Koch Center (even Ridgewood had recommended them) Our prior therapist had retired. Before doing so, our son was making progress. Bottom line. The “Represntative” whom we met with at Koch, was no Dr Koch. She was an aloof, California like space cadet at best. During and post the session, we truly questioned her education and abilities. She basically wasted an hour of our time, took 320 and delayed our child getting help by weeks. Worse yet, she appeared to not have a clue as to what she was doing, how to confidently communicate with my wife and I, and worse yet, how to diagnose or assess our son. Her report only confirmed this. Dr Koch herself may he capable. However, I would NOT spend my time, money or hope on her team. You will be wasting your time and money. Should you seriously be considering the Koch Center, I strongly encourage you to get a recommendation specific to the analyst/therapist you are going to be meeting with. DO YOUR HOMEWORK. Do not assume others at the “Koch Center,” are as capable as Dr Koch or other quality therapist. Make sure you are meeting with a capable therapist before paying or taking a meeting. You have not the time or money on delaying help for your child. This was complete waste of time and money and a huge disappointment. We want our money back and an apology.
