Donut heaven. Get there early if you want a variety. I'm never disappointed in the selection of baked pastries, donuts, muffins, cupcakes, breads and cakes. They make breakfast sandwiches and coffee to go. The coffee cake is just simply the best!! Seriously, I've picked up dozens and dozens of this sweet confections over the years and brought them to parties, holidays and any occasion and the recipients usually say omg is that Neil's? Quickly grabbing the box!! Recently I brought a few dozen over to the senior community and the nurses, aides and staff said such wonderful things about the donuts, they have never had such a treat! You won't go away empty handed. Staff are wonderful hard workers who treat you with respect. Try the muffins, you will never go back to that other place once you have had a carrot cake muffin with a pile high cream cheese frosting. Trust

Not busy after noon. Friendly workers. Still a good variety of donuts. The donuts that are filled are sliced in half and filled to get the most filling inside. Glazed, crispy outside. Soft. Fresh.
Donuts are way better than Dunkin. I am lucky enough to live around the corner and go to work early so I don’t have a wait as I am there for opening. I buy donuts for roughly 60 employees and they literally run from across the building to get them. All the reviews about how busy it is are true. Worth the wait if the line isn’t wrapped around the building as it normally is. I think their breakfast sandwiches suffer which is why 4 stars instead of 5.
Order ahead on the phone so you won’t be disappointed that your favorite donut is sold out. The jelly donuts are dynamite and the glazed are too!! Great customer service here too. Awesome place!
Neils has hands down the best donuts in CT. I don't care what other people say, this is the plant for donuts. I'm sad they don't have a drive thru. Seems like the town of Wallingford won't allow them to. It would be helpful with small children. However, since covid they have a great call ahead option, and to be honest it works out great. Their lines are ALWAYS long. So just call it in and they bring to your car. Best of luck with your new location in Middletown! Neils is the BOMBBBBB!!!!!!
