Great selection food. My only gripe the aisles are too narrow. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Yes, the lockdown highlight today is a subjective Iceland google review. Yes, Lord help us its got that bad. To level the field I don't usually do physical shopping, hell, i can get it all delivered? Haven't been to Iceland since their makeover, which shows how frequently i go....... So, for what may be corporate commercial reasons I found myself in a junior Lidl/Tesco Express. This I expect is to compete for the one shop stop market. Frozen offer now just about a quarter of the sales area, which i thought was the carrot here, Iceland appears to be thawing. Another Jack of all trades but master of none...? More of the same sameness, I could have been shopping anywhere.... a bit like the coffee shop scenario all competing for a bigger slice of the same sized pie and all ending up doing the same thing. Have they missed a trick? Convenient for us shoppers but this dreary uniformity whilst reducing choice ultimately makes for healthier bottom line. They even have those temperamental self checkouts which the Iceland team member described as sh1t! Have to say i loved the 40 bottles or so of spirits locked away in their own trophy case. I did buy a few frozen items to try, which was the purpose of the trip, but these have not been tried yet! So this review is not about the quality of products. If they fall short, although Iceland is obviously loved by many, is there any unique reasons to go there again?
