You'll find the Wanaka i-SITE in the small shopping centre area along Ardmore Street just in front of the lake. There is a handful of parking spots right in front of the i-Site and a larger carpark across the street along the lakefront. Opening hours are 9am to 5pm daily. This is a good place to stop by when you first arrive in town. They staff are friendly and can give you latest information regarding weather and local trail conditions and make suggestions for which you might want to try during your visit to Wanaka. They have area hiking maps and numerous tour brochures at the i-SITE and can book tours and activities for you as well.
Wanaka i-site really go above and beyond, bad weather meant we couldn't do a planned trip so rang the i-site last minute and super easy had a wine tour booked and paid for. Later on they messaged us to wish me a happy birthday and a good tour! Thanks so much Janelle!

Came into town late on 30th of Dec, looking for accommodation for that night. Could find nothing ourselves. Janelle and Hil rang about 10 people they knew and finally were able to persued someone to give us a room. They went above and beyond, really brilliant effort from them for us. Couldn't recommend enough!
The I-Site was amazing, Janelle went above and beyond to help us out getting around wanaka and planning our journey to the mountains. You could tell she enjoyed helping us and genuinely cared about us having a good time in wanaka. 10/10 Janelle! Legend :)
