'Refreshingly different' logo should be changed to 'Poor service and rude'. In my 56 years I have NEVER experienced the incompetence and rudeness of Sympany. I always thought the Swiss were known for efficiency - not the case with this company! And when you do complain, they are so arrogant that they do not even apologise. Extremely disappointing!

Poor management, poor customer service, say they will do something and don't. Missing invoices, addresses not changed for months despite multiple calls. Late responses, not cancelling our insurance despite doing it on time. After \passing the deadline\ to cancel 2020 insurance, we made sure it was cancelled for 2021. Now we got an invoice for 2021 and they are saying it's too late to cancel... despite us going through this in 2019! We changed address and informed them multiple times over the phone, and they confirmed that they will change it in their system. 4 months later and they still did not change our address. Thankfully we have mail forwarding registered with Post. Some invoices were never received by us, and we were informed by a debt collection agency We followed up with Sympany multiple times before and during this debt collection process, asking them to send us all outstanding invoices and to change our address. They didn't even after 2 months of correspondence. We then attempted to notify cancellation of the health insurance with Sympany in 2019. After multiple weeks, after the deadline passed, they informed us that it was not possible because we still had unpaid invoices -- which as previously mentioned, we tried to request before. So then we made sure to have our insurance cancelled for 2021. But then this month, they sent an invoice for next year, despite being informed by ourselves and our new insurer that we are cancelling this insurance. Now they are saying it's too late to cancel our supplementary insurance... even though we did it in 2019. Do NOT go with this company. Thankfully only my husband was with Sympany, I myself am with Sanitas and I have received nothing but the best service from them.
Terrible health insurance company. They do everything they can to avoid refunding money. Only thing they are good at is to send you invoices. Stay away from them at all costs!!!
Find another provider or beware! Sympany added me to an official debt collection list after I supposedly did not pay an invoice. Sympany never sent one bill to my address, nor to my employers address, nor to my address which was on the invoice! Instead they added me to a debt collection list with the Geneva authorities and I have an additional 240 ch of fees. I am a legal professional and pay all my bills on time. This is totally unethical and unacceptable. Edit: after raising this issue with my employer, Sympany have now sent an itemised invoice of the bill to my employer (breaking down all the blood tests done). No respect for patient confidentiality.
By far the worst company I have ever had to deal with.
I am surprised by the negative reviews on here. I met up with my personal consultant at the office and not only was the atmosphere great and welcoming but the consultation was great. I felt like all my needs and important questions were dealt with professionally. Further, the option to sign up and have everything online is fantastic and I appreciate it a lot that they are also looking out for the planet's health by saving paper.
Great experience so far. Mobile app is great. Easy to submit receipts and response time is good. Also there telemed service is great. Helped me with my health concern. I recommend!
My experience with this company has been horrible, I'm in shock. I was tricked into signing my insurance with false confirmation that I could keep my health provider and they falsified my contract after I signed it and sent it back. Trying to make the writing look like mine. I have proof. As encouraged by law I sent a letter saying I wanted to be withdrawn from their insurance before the due date, as I went with another honest company, and they simply did not accept it. Which is not legal. Now I keep getting bills and reminders, although I am happily insured elsewhere. Trying my best to get out, but now I have to take this further. Very stressful. Stay away from this company and their not trustworthy \sellers\.
