Awesome and inexpensive way to kill a couple of hours or more. Brought back many memories for me. The museum is complete enough to cover a lot of history, but small and compact enough to be a great visit for children.
What a wonderful treasure here in Wapakoneta. Very interesting. Makes you understand what the men and women have gone through over the years concerning the space program. Especially in the begining. Definitely a must see. Would like to come back someday.
A very interesting museum and I love the unique gift shop! In Dec. they decorate outside for Christmas for a quick outside drive or walk. Very cool indeed!
This museum has something in it for all ages. The top of the building as seen from the parking lot, (or the freeway) is representative of the moon. The inside “self-guided” tour, allows for plenty of time to read and take pictures, (No Flash). You will see some of the amazing things that the astronauts did in the 1960’s that led us to where we are now. Just take a look at the controls. I especially enjoyed the capsules and space suits. The museum gift shop has lots of neat stuff for everyone. As one of “Places in Ohio” to see, I highly recommend that you take the time to go and explore.
