Was looking to get a pair of new retainers, initially everything was great, staff were very welcoming and followed covid procedures, however I had to go back at least 4 more times as they could not get my retainer right, they did give me a price reduction, but it did not change the fact that it took 3 weeks and me attending every week for a new problem to arise. However I understand this was an external issue.

I have visited this practice a few times now and have been very impressed with the service. The dental team and reception are lovely and very welcoming and my dentist Elysha helped me to feel at ease during my treatment - I would highly recommend. They also took a lot of care with Covid safety standards which was very reassuring. Thank you!

I have been going to Wapping Dental Centre from a little age (from when they were located at St Peters) and they continue to be amazing for me and my family. The Dental team and reception are very welcoming. Would highly recommend :)

Rude receptionist (Natalie) refused to give me an emergency appointment when I felt in pain stating it’s because I missed my checkups! I was in pain and needed help, not her attitude. I’m speechless! How is she qualified to decide who will get an appointment and who not? She should speak to a doctor or nurse when someone calls about an emergency. If it’s your policy to delete the patients who didn’t come for their 6-month checkups, patients should be advised, in writing, it’s shocking to find out something like this in an emergency! Edit to Natalie’s reply: if there is such a policy you have to ADVISE patients in writing. I called 111 and they told me I am registered with you and to go to your dental centre. How come you didn’t advise me or NHS that I am not your patient any more and that I was deleted. I was in pain all weekend and waiting for you to open just to be told (not even politely) that I was deleted. That’s just unacceptable behaviour, especially in emergency. You need to warn people and let them know, it is not reasonable to assume’. I feel discriminated against and I will definitely complain about this as I wasn’t given any notice/warning that I was deleted.

Annoyingly, as others have mentioned here. Wapping Dental Centre does not care about emergencies amd will de-select you without telling you. If you are NHS and if you have an emergency, then this is not the place to go. They do not want you. For everything else, you might want to go elsewhere too.

Highly recommended....I’ve been at this dental practice now for about 4 years, I travel quiet far to see Rowena as she is an excellent Dentist. The reception team are friendly & professional, especially Natalie & Kelly who always go out of their way to settle my nerves at my appointment!

Being penalised for a missed appointment over 12 years ago is too harsh for an NHS dentist. The manager Natalie has no room for excuses or reasons, the reason she gave was if she lets me back in she needs to let another 600 in. I think is poor management and in noway a practical approach. 12 years ago this dentist was known for its racist front of office staff and unfortunately, being on the phone with the manager felt exactly the same. I explained to her I was kid when I missed those appointment and now I’m a grown man - she said that doesn’t change me! Avoid if possible folks.
