First off, I really enjoyed our meetings with Dad's Contracting. They came over when they said they would and we had long talks about the vision of the kitchen we wanted (and which they could build) and they took their time and gave us great ideas. We got a contract drawn up and were ready to give them a 50% down payment to start the work. That was 3 weeks ago from the time of writing this (December 14th). I have no clue what happened. They have not returned our texts and we are now back to the grind trying to find ANOTHER contractor. Hopefully you are reading this and could give us some indication of what happened. If we were too small of a job, fine tell us, but you forget that the kitchen was not the only work we needed. Flooring through out whole house, new basement, new mud room and the the list goes on and on.

I don't normally write bad reviews, but I feel as if I should share my experience. My fiancé and I are planning on remodeling our kitchen in our new house. We just moved to PA and through our countertop resource, she had recommended to reach out to Dad's contracting. So we called, left a voicemail, and a gentlemen called my fiancé back to schedule someone to come and take a look at what we wanted done and give us a quote. They came out on a Saturday morning, very very nice and professional (as my fiancé noted as I was not home). The gentleman that came said it would not be a problem and they would be able to do all the work we wanted done and they would send over a quote on Monday (two days later). A week went by and we had not heard anything, so we left a voicemail. Knowing these are crazy busy times, we are very patient and easy going people, we weren't angry but just wanted an update. After two weeks went by and many voicemails and NO phone call, text, or email back from the company, I feel a poor review is necessary. Yes, knowing our kitchen remodel is most likely a "smaller" project in relation to other projects, a response with a quote or any response at all is professional. As home owners, things come up when you own a house (ex. a flooded finished basement with this last storm) and being new to the area, it would be nice to start with a contractor that was highly recommended. Unfortunately, that will not be the case with this business. Very, very disappointed in this lack of proffesionalism and responsiveness.
