Longleat Reviews | Rating 4.7 out of 5 stars (8 reviews)

Longleat is located in Warminster, United Kingdom. Longleat is rated 4.7 out of 5 in the category historical landmark in United Kingdom. Since 1966, Longleat has been home to a menagerie of exotic and exciting animals; in both the Safari Drive-Through and the Animal Discovery Area. Experience the majesty of Longleat’s animals moving freely across hundreds of acres of land; including zebra, giraffe, tigers, rhino, flamingo, and of course Longleat’s famous lions. Visitors can explore and interact with animals in the Jungle Kingdom and Animal Adventure. Here you can find the UK’s first meerkat walkthrough, free-roaming penguins on Penguin Island and feeding opportunities in the rainbow lorikeets’ aviary. There is also a chance for visitors to enjoy hands-on encounters with snakes, tarantulas and other creepy crawlies! A visit wouldn’t be complete without a stroll around the House. Built by Sir John Thynne, Longleat House was substantially completed by 1580 and is the current home to the 7th Marquess of Bath and three generations of the Thynne family. As well as being packed with priceless antiques; the abundance of flair that the House exudes will capture imaginations of those young, and young at heart, with its wonderful treasures and heirlooms including early manuscripts, magnificent paintings, exquisite Flemish tapestries and opulent interiors.

Truly a great experience, perfect time to visit would probably be in the summer. Good for kids and the safari drive is good. Must be lucky to see the animals cos they sleep tons! :)

In my opinion Longleat has to be one of the best places in the south west to visit. If your a lover of animals and need a trip out wether it be for a couple, family or anyone else this is the perfect day out. It's got so much to offer for all ages and it's an experience you have to have especially driving through the monkey enclosure but be aware they can tear of your car items like windscreen wipers. You can always avoid it as it's an option but it's a great attraction and if your not too bothered about your car definitely go through. If your in the area definitely come visit you won't regret it.

A fantastic day had at Longleat, it's a lovely place to visit with lots to do and beautiful surroundings. With the current restrictions you can't go in the house so it's a good day out but once the house re opens I believe you may need more than one day to do it all. Highly recommend Longleat to anyone. Oh and the are so cute! ️

Great value for money if you get there early - safari, rides, animals to see and the winter lights. Covid safe. House not open. Parking is free.

1st time visiting and won't be the last! Plenty to see and do even with restrictions in place due to current circumstances. Staff are very friendly, polite and helpful. Overall a great experience

During Covid there were a few animals which weren't accessible but it was still a really enjoyable experience (we even decide to brave the monkeys!) It was a shame that the giraffes weren't around to see; we think due to the cold weather? You always get the feeling that the animals in the park are well-looked after - with plenty of wide, open spaces for them to roam.

Great day out with the family even with social distancing. Because you spend most of the time in your own car it's great for isolation rules. Fantastic selection of animals, great location it's a brilliant day out with family.
