My wife and I drove to Conners College at Warner today to see the 2nd half of a doubleheader softball game. Our granddaughter, Jessica, plays for Conners at shortstop, pitcher and outfield. Today she started at shortstop, pitched a few innings and hit a homerun in a losing cause. As she crossed home plate and highfived her teammates, she looked at me and said" that one was for you, grandpa" as she headed for the dugout. Conners has a nice soft ball field for a small college. They are doing some improvements in the roadways and parking lots. Hopefully some of the improvements will be made to the stands.
