I’m convinced that Forester Ave Laundry has to be one of the best laundromats anywhere in the tri-state area. For starters, the facilities are immaculately clean, and state-of-the-art. All the washers and dryers are brand new, and you can even pay by credit card on the kiosk near the front desk. All the machines provide such a deep and thorough wash, there’s a noticeable difference in how clean one’s laundry feels and smells afterward (especially when compared with any of the other local laundromats.) I drive an additional 20 minutes out of the way from my regular commute just to laundry here - and it is entirely worth it. Because the machines are so new and efficient, it never takes me more than 20 minutes to finish a wash or a dry - so I am usually done in an hour or less (whereas at the previous laundromat I frequented, it was never less than an hour and half ordeal.) What I also love about Forester Ave is how it’s situated right in the heart of the Village of Warwick. A three or four minute walk brings you to beautiful Lewis Park, and historic Main Street, both ideal places to explore while waiting for a wash to finish. All of this on its own would be impressive enough; but it must also be said that Forester Ave’s proprietor, John, is the consummate gentleman. Genuinely one of the most friendly, and down-to-earth people I have come to know, he is unfailingly helpful, generous, and patient with his customers - and has a great sense of humour! On one occasion, having lost my small box of dryer sheets, he very kindly supplied me with a new box free of charge. (I doubt highly other shop owners would have been so considerate.) That so many of his costumers are on a first-name basis with him, and seem to have known him for years, says a great deal, I think, to his high level of commitment to the Warwick community. On the whole, doing laundry here is an absolute pleasure - and what was once drudgery has become rather more like a highlight in my week!

This place is great for a very clean, well-run, helpful laundromat. ... If they would just keep the politics out of their business. Flying a Trump flag (which has been taken down, but still clearly visible through a door within the facility) is uncalled for when running a business. There are also anti-Biden posts at the folding tables. Go ahead and express your political beliefs from your own private lawn, but you’ll just alienate community members who don’t like bigotry, oligarchs, autocracy, or fascism.
Machines dont take coins. Great place clean.alll new machines
Super clean. Very patient with me as I learned the machines. Large machines if you want to do one huge load and go. Highly recommend.
