We choose Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home mainly because it's family owned and not corporate. Never, ever having to deal with arrangements for a funeral, we came into contact with kind, compassionate, sincere people...Peter, Daniel & their staff. Great service and staff; best in the state! Regarding someone else's comment about an error in an obituary, I can tell you I have been to several funeral homes over the years handling some form of the arrangement. The individual submitting the obituary to the funeral home is the individual ultimately responsible for ensuring the correctness in that obituary before it goes to the director. They are a funeral home; not your personal editor. I want to be sympathetic to your issue but if there are errors in the obituary, that is your responsibility to recognize and resolve. Blaming the Funeral Home for that is reckless and unfair.
Mr. Cotter and Mr. Lawlor are two of the best professionals in this industry. If you are looking for a well balanced team that provides caring and compassionate service, Barrett and Cotter is where you will find that. Kudos Gentlemen, keep up the great work! -JW
I have nothing but the best things to say about Peter Cotter and his staff. He was the most compassionate person to our family when my dad passed away. I have been to many wakes and funerals here and have heard nothing but positive comments from those families! I would recommend Peter to anyone who needs a professional and caring funeral home.
