I've had the pleasure of being with Capital since 2011 and with Team Old City since it opened. The facility, while modest, is tidy and bright, the training partners are cool and location's owners have ensured that quality jiujitsu and self-defense are taught with passion and purpose. I've been particularly impressed with the seriousness they've applied to their onboarding program, which many academies overlook. Perhaps because this location is 'Powered by Old City Crossfit,' they have a better understanding than many that comprehension and sound fundamental movements are the most important things in ensuring the long-term development, health and enjoyment of a beginner. Whatever the reason, it's an excellent academy, as they take the time to focus on developing their students. Pop on in!
