My seven year old daughter has been taking violin lessons with Ms. Katy for almost a year and I am blown away by how much she has learned and grown in such a short time. Ms. Katy truly gets kids and what helps them learn best. She takes the time to send videos to help with practice time and finds songs my daughter loves to keep her excited. She is so encouraging and my daughter can't wait for each lesson. I highly recommend Ms. Katy and Columbia Music Studio!

My 4 year old began learning violin with Ms. Katy about a year ago and we're so lucky to have found her. My daughter has progressed faster than I'd imagined and is already on her way to finishing the first Suzuki book. Ms. Katy recognizes what my daughter needs and her experience and love of teaching music really shines through. Ms. Katy often spends extra time teaching beyond our allotted time, and even our virtual lessons have been going extremely well. Ms. Katy even takes the time to send video clips of songs, which have been so helpful for my daughter as she practices new songs. We adore Ms. Katy. She is truly a gem.
Chris is an excellent guitar teacher. He tailors the lessons to match my learning goals and has greatly improved my skill and understanding of the instrument. He has been more than willing to help me explore my interest in different genres, particularly jazz and pop music, and he has enabled me to advance my theoretical understanding of the guitar. I am an adult who picked up the guitar recently and Chris has a knack for providing the exact right amount of challenge to improve at an instrument without getting frustrated or losing momentum. Lessons at Columbia Music Studio are a blast.
My 11 year daughter loves her piano lessons with Chris! In addition to teaching her the basics, Chris encourages her creativeness - whether it’s writing her own songs or learning popular songs she likes. Chris is also incredibly flexible, which is more helpful now during Covid. I can’t recommend Columbia Music Studio more!
We signed our son up for music lessons with Columbia Music Studio and it's been great. He's completely engaged and works on projects outside of his actual lessons, which is rare for him. We strongly recommend Columbia Music Studio for anybody looking for great music lessons.
