A business associate of mine from the U.K. has an incredible art collection located in the U.K., France, Barbados, the U.S. and beyond. He requested that I connect him with an art framer in the D.C. area with whom he could discuss reframing one of his paintings. I visited several framing shops, concluding they would not meet the standard my associate would require. In search of guidance, I queried the Smithsonian American Art Museum where without reservation was advised to contact Bill Adair, owner of Gold Leaf Studios. That was a “home run”! My associate could not have been more pleased with the results then and continuing, for Bill is so much more than a framer of pictures. Bill is an educator, a collector and creator of things I can only describe as inspirational and in and of himself “A Treasure to the Art World”. And he is one hell of a nice guy.

This is the premiere framing studio in Washington. This is where major museums turn when they want restoration or framing. Bill Adair is not only an expert framer, but also an artist. Great place to learn traditional gold leaf framing through their workshops in cooperation with the Art League.
